Excessive Moderation Artist - Excessive Moderation
Album - Self-Titled
Label - Self-Released
Reviewer - Erik W. Beyer
This three-song demo is a great introduction for this band. They obviously have along way to go, but their songs are well written and openly portrait their abilities. I believe with a better recording these guys could really sell!

There are fantastic elements that really bring the sound across such as the vocals and the lead of the songs like the bridge on the first track, “Prosperity.” It helped open my eyes to what these guys could really do.

Track 2, “Amanda Rae,” comes across as a rock song that leans deep into the classic hair-band era; however, they do it well and are complimented for it. Track 3, “Contain,” introduces yet another style from this band, mixing classic metal with some elements of Indie-rock and modern pop-metal. I would say, even as talented as these guys are, finding a way to settle better into a sound and trying to make their older sounds come alive with newer elements would really help to open their material to a broader audience.

TRACKS:
1. Prosperity
2. Amanda Rae
3. Contain
