I put this CD on and it started out nice with a really cool instrumental intro then I was assaulted by a metallic onslaught that made my head start to bang and my feet start to tap. All That Remains was formed by vocalist Philip Labonte formerly of Shadows Fall with drummer Mike Bartlett, and Oli Herbert on guitar. This Darkened Heart features new members Mike Martin on guitar and bassist Mathew Deis. This Darkened Heart was produced by Killswitch Engage member Adam D. This CD is a perfect example of today’s brand of modern metal. With crushing guitars, bass & drums matched with a massive vocal style this band kicks the door in with this release. With massive riffs and the perfect mix of harmonies All That Remains is a band that be a favorite of fans that like bands like Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Otep and bands like that. I highly encourage you to pick up this CD it will keep you highly entertained! Just don’t let your friends borrow it because you might not get it back it’s that good!
