The Rolling Rochaus Artist - The Rolling Rochaus - Compilation
Album - A Taste of Our Rock Hard Licks
Label - Infinity Records
Reviewer - Joe Prophet
Picked this up, and noticed right away I was in for something cool. Just the cover had my horemones going. I’ll give it to the cover designer, this one will be passed around the boy’s locker room for sure.

This is one of the better compilations of hard rock I have heard in some time. I think what made me keep listening, was just the fact that they have compiled all these bands from different parts of the world, and one thing is for sure, they all ROCK!

The cd starts out with Elenpath from Frankfurt, Germany cranking out a powerful harder than hard rock. The singer has a set of pipes that won’t stop. I particularly like the hammering guitars mixed with the moog keys that bring an almost ominous feel to there music

Next on the bill is Whoremoan from Canvey Island, UK. Theses guys have a wonderful almost punk sound. I’m a kid of the early 80’s, and I love this stuff! Just plain gut wrenching power rock the way it should be.

Then on we go to Faceless from Australia. What can I say guys? Very well done! These rockers are on a more metal side of the cd. I really like the electronic experimentation in the vocals, and found them very well produced. I have to give kudos’ to the singer, this fucker can scream!

Then from Marietta, Ohio we have Catch 22. The first thing that caught my attention with these hard/metal rockers, was again the incredible vocals, and a better than normal bass player. I’m not sure where they found these guys, but I would love to see them live.

Brother From Another Planet had more of an alternative/Christian rock feel. I especially like the hammering drum work, and clean clear recording style. This band has a nice smooth feel, but can still grab you in the pit of your stomach at times, and remind you that you are still listening to rock n roll.

Unit-53 is a band from Richmond, VA. That has a burning hard rock sound that just keeps your head bangin the whole time you listen to them. They have all the bases cover from speed drumming to a powerful blazing singer. They get an A for effort.

Last but not least we have Broken Temple from Redmond, VA. A nice closer for the cd, these guys are an all instrumental band, that have some obvious background in classical, and jazz,, and mix it all together in a cool as hell little tune complete with rocking guitars, and electric violin. I like this one a lot.

All in all a pretty cool trip around the world. I highly recommend picking it up
