Terror Artist - Terror
Title - One With The Underdogs
Label - Trustkill Records
Rating - ****
Reviewer - Marc Halverson
With so many bands emerging on the hardcore scene it takes a special sound to distinguish itself from the rest. Terror delivers and assures the underground hardcore scene that they belong at the top of the food chain with their latest release of, “One With The Underdogs.” From beginning to end, Terror blisters through 13 pure hardcore songs that will leave you empowered to get off your ass and destroy whatever stands in your way.

The opening track, “One With The Underdogs,” instantly smashes you in the face and prepares you for pure devastation. Next, “Keep Your Mouth Shut,” is one of the strongest tracks with a sick break down that will appeal to any true hardcore fan. Lead by front man, Scott Vogel, the track “Overcome,” displays Terror’s straight ahead hardcore approach to overcome and destroy any obstacle that is put in front of them “Spit My Rage,” is one of the fastest tracks on this album combined with brutal vocals by guest appearances of Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed, Skarhead, and Crown of Thornz’ Lord Ezec. “Not This Time,” is a pure hardcore track with a catchy riff and solid breakdown that brings Biohazard to mind. “Out Of My Face,” is another solid track that assures the listener that Terror will rises above and beyond anything that you throw at them. The song then ends with a heavy break down that will set off any pit. The album comes to a close with “Enemies In Sight,” (along with a hidden track ‘Let The Best Bring The Best’), which are both fast and furious tracks that rip right through your ears.

Terror is a pure, original hardcore band that encompasses elements of Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front, and Madball, but pushes them ahead of the scene with a new refreshing approach along the lines of their brothers in Hatebreed. In order to fully appreciate Terror, you need to see them live to visualize how much heart and energy they put into their music. Front man, Scott Vogel, says it best (in reference to Terror); “This is all I’ve got.”

Terror are:
Scott Vogel – Vocals
Carl Schwartz – Bass
Doug Weber – Guitar
Franc Novinec – Guitar
Nick Jett – Drums
