Dead Kennedy’s and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer DH Peligro gives Jimi
Hendrix’s “Purple Haze” a punk rock makeover in this release from
Dirrty Records. The song became a hit after being formally recognized
by Hendrix’s company, Experience Hendrix. Peligro has gone on to tour
internationally and play in front of widespread fans.
Fast and furious, the song is an impressive tribute to the original and I imaging will continue gaining popularity, there’s nothing like
rekindling an old and legendary anthem.
