Last Second Left Artist - Last Second Left
Album - 00:00:01
Label - Independent
Reviewer - Robin Steeley
With their debut EP, Portland’s Last Second Left produces music that is instantly brutal, effect-laden metal that features monster breakdowns and crunchy metal guitar riffs. Produced by the band and Mike Lastra, the songs are catchy, with throat ripping screeches intermittently thrown into the already razor edged vocals.

Dark, heavy, and melodic, the band shows outstanding songwriting skills and the production on this is top notch, especially after I read that they recorded live in one day and mixed in another. I am amazed at the addicting nature of the songs, they had me completely hooked by track two “Waits In Silence” I got busy doing something at my desk and suddenly realized I was banging my head and rockin out while I worked. My favorite track is the over six minute burner “No Use” which is just sick and heavy and a fitting end to this debut release.

Overall, this band has a solid and well delivered sound and I am proud to say they are from the Portland Underground. I can’t wait to check them out live.
