12v Negative Earth Artist - 12v Negative Earth
Album - Heroes Defeated
Label - Swallow The Liter
Reviewer - Mr Black
We all know that Nashville, TN is best known for putting Country music on the map. We now also know that Nash' can breed some quality independent music. The new 12v Negative Earth record, Heroes Defeated, is a 6-song effort that holds nothing back in the way of overall talent. The production is solid, each song underlines diversity and in so many words...12vNE is an unsigned band to watch for. With elements of early Helmet and even some quips of Clutch these guys unleash quite a bit of confidence with this record. Some portions of the record lyrically threw me off at times but who am I to judge when a band is trying to climb the industry ladder. This album is worth the dough and a listen or more. The track "Bother Me" is sick and it's production quality propogates the song without that ice cream and pie bullshit some major label bands seem to think is cool now adays. I have no doubt these guys "burn it down" live.
