The Chariot Artist - The Chariot
Album - Everything Is Alive...
Label - Solid State
Reviewer - Mr Black
It's funny how names and album covers can throw a music buyer off and The Chariot seems to be the epitamy example of this conclusion. With that said it seems that this bands label, Solid State, has cornered the market on bands that may seem normal at first glance. But wait...an explosive inertia then takes over, bulldozing your simple preconceptions. Point being, The Chariot's new album may have a cover with a female holding an umbrella but little did you know that the band takes that umbrella and beats you with it for nearly an hour. I haven't had the pleasure of something so undefined, chaotic and brilliant since Brutal Truth. One may even go as far to say that The Chariot bleeds off a bit of S.O.D. Really, what could be a more graciously violent compliments than that? "Die Interviewer (I am Only Speaking In German)" should really be shared with anyone who is musically insane and likes to drive cars backwards on an entire sheet of acid. I would recommend this CD to anyone as long as the band places a label on the cover that reads "WARNING: You are about to have your ass seriously kicked to the curb. Fashion restraints not included!". So load up on 151, bandages and ass cushions...The Chariot is throwing toes.
