Thomas Giles Rogers, Jr. is the front man for the well-known Metalcore band Between The Buried And Me, and has recently decided to strike out on his own and create another project simply titled Giles. The CD falls into the industrial electronic realm and is full of energy although it is certainly not something I think I could ever find myself listening to on a regular basis. It’s very chaotic, but I understand that fans of this genre like that quality to the music.
It has elements of dance beats mixed with rock that are appealing. Its music you might hear spinning in an LA house club for the benefit of a full dance floor. It has a kind of sleazy grinding quality to it. Its nine short songs that are over quickly, maybe three minutes in length. Giles music has some strong beats but they end shortly after they begin to grow on you. Either way this should be a huge hit for the rave community, they are always in need of something new to dance too.
Some notable tracks are the opener “Slumber Party” which is a bit raunchy, the mischievous feel of "Attackin' which has some catchy melodies, and the faster tempoed “Desk Seeking Spades”.
