For all of you passionate about hardcore and believe and know good hardcore exists and is all around us, this band a powerful instance of just that! This powerful 5-piece group has a full set of jewels and is not afraid to show you! The energy and image Bane gives off is incredible and big! You will find these guys becoming a new favorite!
East Coast based, Bane’s members have the background the kick ass here! I worked with a band that sounded a little like these guys, especially the vocal style. I had to supply him with pop filters for the live mics because he yelled so loud and powerful he spat on the mic badly enough to ruin almost everyone he sang on…got expensive. Had to share this because the thickness of the vocal style is such an amazing signature of a band like Bane and should make sure they never lose that element. Bane is made up of Aaron Bedard on vocals, Zach Jordan on guitar, Aaron Dalbec on guitars, Pete Chilton on bass, and last but definitely not least, Bob Mahoney on drums and laying into the beats, too!
This experience starts with a hard driving track, Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda, and gives a great taste of what to expect with the rest of the album. Track 5, End With an Ellipsis, starts with a drum beat, and moves into a great, slower song, very well done, with a huge sound you will find is common throughout this album. The final track, Swan Song, should not be confused with anything mellow or soft. Bane drives deep and hard for this one, with a more classic hardcore sound, these guys take it home with a great track!
This band should be a part of any collection! You will see why once you hear this album! Very impressive!
