This new sound of nu-metal and hardcore mixed into an infectious and catchy album and flow will keep you begging for more. If this is your bag, and as we all know this sound is the hot stuff right now as airwaves get heavier with this style and others like it, you will find this album to be a perfect piece of your CD collection and may also find it in regular rotation on you CD player or MP3 player! The Hurt Process opens these doors wide open with healthy versatility and strengths that will stick to you like the sweat of that guy moshing next to you!
Straight out of the UK, these guys have a powerhouse sound that will throw you from start to finish only wanting more! Members Tom Diamond on guitars, Dan Lawerence on vocals, Duncan Mcgilvary on bass, Adam Yoeman on bass, and Jordan Schulze on guitar deliver an amazing sound that gives off the experience of a much older band, but only a few years old, these guys are hitting it hard! After the Warped Tour in 2004, their fan base expanded to the USA with much enthusiasm.
The CD begins with a hard hitting track, Anchor, carrying so much weight as song #1 on the CD, and man does it live up to anyone’s expectations. This is such a powerful track. Track 3, title track, A Heartbeat Behind, is a driving metal song, typical of its style, but lending some nicely unique elements of clean vocals during the chorus, which is more typical of a pop-metal/pop-punk/hardcore band. As they play to entertain a mass appeal of rock fans, their style portrayed on this album just may completely fill any void sensed by critics. Track 6, Boogie Nights in Michigan, starts out hinting to be a hip rock song, and breaks into more of a pop-punk song that is a very radio friendly sound! The album ends with Reading Into It, a ballad of sorts, layered with guitars, great chord structure, songwriting, and studio performance. This sound is the final flavor that will keep you wanting to go back to the top and do it all over again!
I would suggest going to their website, checking out the tracks for yourself. This CD has found a permanent home on my CD rack.
