Ricky Warwick Artist - Ricky Warwick
Album - Love Many Trust Few
Label - Sanctuary Records
Reviewer - Robin Steeley
Checking out the cover artwork with Warwick’s striking face, many tattoos, and heavy ear piercings, I never expected for it to sound like it did when I turned up my speakers. It just goes to show you can never judge a book by its cover.

Ricky Warwick is originally from Northern Ireland and formerly comes from a British punk background. The album was produced by Def Leppard vocalist Joe Elliott an old friend of Warwick’s, who also appears on the album along with Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell.

The fourteen track offering starts with a rockin tune, “Johnny or Elvis” that’s upbeat and easily listenable. It leads right into “I Don’t Know What to Do” that’s a little on the bland side but things improve with the groovier “Learning to Fall” and follows the same formula for most of the CD, but the songs are thoughtful and some have a little blues element to them. He rocks out a little more with

Overall, there are some catchy tunes here. It reminds me tentatively of The Wallflowers without being a copy, and the songs are simple yet sung with emotion and catchy choruses. It’s a good follow up to his solo debut “Tattoos and Alibis”.
