The Better Photo Guide To Digital Photography The Better Photo Guide To Digital Photography
Author Jolene Siana
Published by Jim Miotke
Review By Robin Steeley

Being an amateur photographer myself, and having recently purchased a professional digital SLR camera, I was excited to get this book in my stack of reviews. It is 224 pages of useful information that can be understood by both novice and professional. There are over 200 color illustrations to guide you as you learn.

Digital photography is hot everywhere right now, so this book should be very successful, but the biggest selling feature for me is also that it is offered by BetterPhoto, the leading source for all photography information, I have learned a tremendous amount from that site. The book itself is practical and lesson based with step-by-step tutorials included. You will learn about file format, low light photography, exposure, composition, and that’s just naming a few subjects offered.

The book is written by Jim Miotke is the president and founder of BetterPhoto and has been teaching photography classes since 1996. He has been a professional photographer for more then twenty years.

I would recommend this book for the curious, the beginner, the amateur and I bet there are even a few professionals who could learn something from Miotke.
