Pink Floyd Tribute Artist - Pink Floyd Tribute - Various Artists
Album - Back Against The Wall
Label - Purple Pyramid
Reviewer - Robin Steeley
Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’ was an incredibly powerful contribution to the world of music, and some of the industry’s key players have gathered to play tribute to this masterpiece album. With some of the most recognizable names in progressive and classic rock, as well as a few surprise additions, how can you go wrong? The list of greats is incredible, from Dweezil Zappa to Ronny Montrose the list goes on and on, filled with great players from around the world who have gathered to recreate one of the most important albums ever produced.

The songs are not reinvented, they make you feel like you are listening to the Pink Floyd version, and are delivered with a reverence that is a fitting tribute to the music. From the first clear notes of “In The Flesh” on the first disc you are transported back through time, it’s an almost surreal listen. If you want the highlights you are just going to have to pick this up, there are too many too list.

For the icing on the cake, the album contains songs from the movie that were not on the original album released by Pink Floyd. This is a must have for any true Floyd fan, a fitting tribute to some of the most intense music, and one of the greatest albums of all time. Some of the musicians involved are planning a tour to support “Back Against The Wall” so check your concert calendars for a date near you.
