BODYSONG BODYSONG
By Brent Terry

Are you looking for a life changing experience from the comfort of your couch? Well Simon Pummell may be able to provide you just that. Bodysong takes you on the journey of life and/or a life depicted by 100 years of film. This journey is backed by an eloquent score written and produced by Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead). The emotional effect of the film is driven by the images portrayed and subsequent consequences of each frame will leave you laughing, holding your breath, and wanting more.

The vision, dream, mission, goal, whatever it may be for each and everyone of us as humans is surrounded by the key elements of life and death. Bodysong does not merely take you on a journey from the beginning of life to death, but tugs at your conscious to understand all that is life and how we as humans alter our outcome on a daily basis. To draw you even deeper into his work of art, Simon Pummell has left 50% of the story on film, and the other 50% for the web. In a truly unique way, Bodysong has incorporated “the rest of the story” on a well designed 3D website accessible from the DVD. This incorporation of the website is driven by each scene, selectable with the click of a mouse, which unveils the mystery behind each. You are once again living the film, but gaining much more insight into the lives captured and/or the individuals who filmed them.

Bodysong makes you question everything from religion, politics, war, disease, and even the art of love. We are all devious by nature and Simon Pummell has pieced together 100 years of film to depict it all… Life is such a simple word for something so difficult to understand.
